STEEL :
We have been able to work closely with our suppliers
of steel and thus keep the analysis and quality of our steel constantly in line with modern practice.
It machines easily and to very high standard of finish with CNC turning
It is capable of being given a hardened surface of first-class wear resisting quality.
HARDNESS
:
The most suitable hardness for a ring is in
the range 62-64 Rockwell C (750-900 hv). Spinning Rings harder
than 64 Rockwell are slow and difficult to break in. The Wear-resisting properties of a material are not necessarily directly proportional to its hardness. We have found, that a through hardened steel offers the best wear-resisting properties for the ring and traveller bearing.
In general, it is accepted by the world's leading makers that the most suitable hardness for a ring is in the range 62-63 Rockwell C.
POLISHING
TREATMENT :
The perfect surface finish of the spinning
rings is achieved in three steps. the first is to select good machining steel and to give smooth surface
finish. Polishing treatment to the hardened rings is the second
step to give high grade of finishing up to the point at which
the travellers must take over.
The third step takes place in the mill
when the rings are put to work. The final touches of polish are
given by series
of travellers operating at the time of running in procedure. The
first two steps are being taken in a very
perfect manner at our works. 'vikram' manufactures in three types
of finishing mirror finish. Blackodised
finish and hard chrome plated. We recommend blackodised finish
in spinning rings and hard chrome
platted especially for wet doubling machine.
The bearing of Spinning Ring and travelers is a very unusual one in that it requires steel, at very high speed.
Therefore, we take all extra care to give very high and smooth finish. We offer Rings also with blackodised or
mirror plating.

'ANTI-WEDGE'
SPIN MNC RINGS :
The
'Anti-Wedge' ring is designed to work in conjunction with elliptical
type travellers. In order to take advantage
of the higher speeds made possible by the use of elliptical type
travellers with a low centre of gravity.
Clip and Spiv travellers are of the elliptical
type and are designed to provide greater yarn clearance
than the normal elliptical traveller. The 'Anti - Wedge' ring
is a special purpose ring for high speed spinning
of medium to fine cotton counts.
ENLARGED
RINGS :
These
meet the requirements of the mill which wishes to build a bigger
package or spun a coarser count more economically.
REDUCED
RINGS :
Rings
of this type are made for mills which find it necessary to convert
the frames from warp to weft spinning, or to
spun a finer counts.
RUNNING-IN
NEW RINGS :
All
new rings must be carefully run-in if they are to give the best
possible service as regards low end breakage
rates, high spinning speed and long life. Frequent and regular
ring cleaning & frequent travel ler changing
is great importance during the running in period. However, experience
are the best guides' to a running in procedure.
Ovality :
The Ring should be eccntric. However we sttrictly maintain the permissible limit of ovality specified. Permissible tolerance of ovality. Ring dia up to 65 mm ± 0.075mm.
SAMPLE
FOR GUIDANCE :
It
is normal practice for customers to send with their orders sample
rings for the guidance of the manufacturer.
The sample rings should be taken from the actual
frame.
